PHP Developer

You will have good communication skills, solid commercial experience and have the ability to work under pressure when it is required. You will be able to speak your mind and put your opinions across in a constructive manner.
Any experience of web video technologies and networking is a real advantage for any of our positions. There are plenty of opportunities to travel as part of the web broadcast team on many different events around the world. So a full current passport is required. You will be joining the team at a very exciting time and have the opportunity to shape the development of a cutting edge web based video delivery system.
Working as part of a team you will need to have rock solid PHP/MySQL and Object Oriented programming skills as well as procedural methodologies. You will need a good understanding of Apache, Linux and standards based web technologies; XHTML, XML, Javascript and CSS. Experience in application design, programming architecture, and software lifecycle. Relational database design and optimisation would be very beneficial as would E-commerce experience. Experience of MVC Frameworks (particularly CakePHP) and designing / implementing REST Services in PHP/MySQL/XML would be advantageous.
